The experience at Pitti Uomo 92 by Italo Ferretti, among President Trump’s ties and a total look collection highly appreciated by international operators. We asked Carlo Ferretti how this edition went and what are Italo Ferretti’s targets for the future.
Definitely very positive. We have had good feedback from the exhibitors, especially international ones. It was a pleasant surprise to find the US operators we had come to know a few years ago. We have achieved the goals set, including those that have increased our contacts. My only regret is that I had no time whatsoever to enjoy the beautiful Florence, because of the limited time and rhythms imposed by the fair.
I have to say that the total look collection has been greatly appreciated by our customers. For two seasons now, we have decided to invest in a total look collection, as well as on accessories, and the appreciation we received during the fair is the signal that was the right choice. A collection that targets elegance, made of new cuts and fabrics, of technical details carefully designed that make a difference to the more mainstream brands.
Trump is actually our client, he has chosen our ties made in our Silvi labs, he chose made in Italy. Jokes aside, I do not think such events, such as Brexit and restrictions on US imports, pose a threat to our market.
Absolutely yes. I think the tie represents the distinctive feature of the male look, almost an extension of the wearer. Despite the fact that in recent times, due to new trends, it seems to have suffered some ups and downs, the tie is definitely a timeless accessory.
